Speakers Australia and its principal Peter Physick have provided the most convenient and professional service we have encountered.

In over 25 years of our Institute providing members with current, thought provoking and topical issue speakers for our conferences and forums, we have come to rely on the outstanding judgement of Peter and Speakers Australia.

Whether it be entertainers for a broad audience or the most challenging conference topic, Speakers Australia has never failed to deliver. We at the AMInstitute are faced with the dilemma of providing our delegates at conferences with new and exciting presenters year after year and as many of our delegates attend each year, we need presenters and entertainers with new and fresh material.

This challenge has been made obsolete by Speakers Australia as they have taken the time to know our business, our target audience and our history………

We at the East Coast Eagles AFL Football Club take great pride in entertaining, rewarding and acknowledging our sponsors, members and supporters. Our luncheons are renowned for their quality, in particular that of the speakers and entertainers we secure.

Speakers Australia is the only company we turn to for advice and service in this key field.

The service we received from Speakers Australia has been exemplary from the beginning. Peter Physick and his team worked very hard to ensure that Keith Scott was available to MC our event under what could be described as challenging logistical circumstances given the time constraints we were faced with.

We would highly recommend Peter and his company Speakers Australia.
David Carter / AgriPlex Group Pty Ltd

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Peter Physick at Speakers Australia since the year 2000 and have never been let down by his recommendations. I tell Peter the type of speaker or act that we require and he supplies a number of names and CV's of the speakers or acts which fit our requirements. It is as simple as that.

Peter’s professional attitude and friendly manner makes it an absolute pleasure to deal with him. I can not recommend him highly enough to any one or to an organisation which needs help in arranging, organising or advising on the best fit for their special event.

Everyone knows him simply as "Junior" ...

Wayne was born and raised in the inner city suburb of Balmain, and played 188 premiership games for the Tigers between 1980 and his retirement in 1990. He was captain of the club for seven seasons, including four successive Panasonic Cup Finals (1985-1988) and two Grand Finals (1988 and 1989).

At representative level, he played fifteen State of Origins for New South Wales and was the captain of the NSW Blues from 1985 to 1988, including the first ever State of Origin clean-sweep in 1986. Wayne also played eighteen Test matches for Australia and on the 1982 "Invincibles" Kangaroo Tour, was voted best player on the tour. Again in the 1984 Ashes campaign against Great Britain, he was again voted player of the series.

In 1985, he won the Rothman’s Medal (Rugby League’s equivalent of the Brownlow Medal) as the best player in the game. Former team-mate and fellow international Steve Roach gives him a good wrap by saying, “Junior was the toughest bloke I ever saw. He had a strength of character and a never-say-die spirit that was indomitable."

His coaching career began with the Balmain Tigers in 1994 from where he retired as Club Coach at the end of the 2000 season. Wayne’s coaching efforts were acknowledged by the representative selectors, and he was appointed the NSW Blues Coach in 1999. After winning the State of Origin series 3-0 as a coach in 2000, he became the only person to both captain and coach a Series clean-sweep against Queensland.

Widely regarded as an innovator, both as a player and as a coach, Wayne uses his university science and psychology studies as a platform upon which he has sought to develop more effective and improved methods of preparing for competition.  Long-time team-mate Benny Elias once said, "Of all the players I ever saw, he was the closest at playing up to his full potential every week. Albert Einstein once said that human beings only use five percent of their potential…  Unfortunately Albert didn’t ever meet Junior Pearce."

After leaving the professional sports coaching ranks, he used his considerable knowledge of the psychology of performance to develop motivation and team development programs for the corporate world to improve workplace productivity.

Although “Junior” still enjoys his presence in Rugby League as a Fox Sports commentator, his primary focus nowadays is his corporate speaking and team workshop programs. His business, "Wayne Pearce Advantage," has an impressive list of clients which includes News Limited, St George Bank, IAG Insurance, NRMA, Mazda and DHL Express. Being directly involved in all services provided by 'Wayne Pearce Advantage,' it is Wayne’s aim when working with a business, to help it transform from a place where employees just do their job, to a place where employees want to do their very best as individuals and as a team.

In addition to being a professional Rugby League captain and coach at the highest level for over 20 years, Wayne also completed a university degree (which included three years of psychology studies) as well as working in the corporate world for six years as a sales executive.

His leadership and teambuilding skills have been widely acknowledged in the sporting community, and in 1988 he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to Rugby League and the community.

Having been a keynote speaker for the past 15 years, Wayne appreciates that businesses engage speakers to not only entertain, but to inspire and in some cases transform their staff. That's why the choice of a keynote speaker is such an important business decision.

Using his experience and extensive research in both the sporting and business communities as a basis, Wayne will tailor a presentation to help you achieve the strategic outcomes you desire. The challenge of connecting with an audience and - through that connection - communicating key messages that can hit the right "buttons" in individuals, is an ongoing source of personal satisfaction for “Junior”.

Or perhaps you are just simply looking for an entertaining and humourous after dinner insight into the life of a professional athlete.
